Dogs fed with E. faecium SF68 4b1705 showed enhanced immune function and a strengthened specific immune function, with a significant increase in CDV virus specific IgG and IgA levels in response to vaccination.
The puppies fed SF68 maintained CDV specific immunoglobins longer than did the control puppies.

A study was carried out to look at the effect of E. faecium SF68 4b1705 on stress diarrhoea in Alaskan sled dogs
It was seen that dogs supplemented with E. faecium SF68 4b1705 experienced significantly fewer days with severe diarrhoea and improved faster than dogs in the placebo group.

Results showed that the addition of E. faecium SF68 4b1705 to the protocol appeared to enhance clinical responses in dogs with diarrhoea.
